How do we tap into Reiki? What is it’s evolution? spiritual reiki

Reiki is practical for daily life. It’s a form of meditation used as a type of therapy for treating physical, emotional, and mental diseases.

The name Reiki is taken from two Japanese characters that describe energy itself. The word “rei”, which means “unseen” or “spiritual” and “ki” which means “energy” or “life force” is combined to become Reiki. In English, its meaning is usually given as “universal life energy”.

Mikao Usui is known to have developed Reiki in 20th century Japan. Story has it that Usui received the ability of healing after going through three weeks of fasting and meditating on top of Mount Kurama. Practitioners of Reiki use a technique similar to that of the laying on of hands.

This action is said to promote the channeling of “healing energy” to another person. The energy flows through the palms and brings along with it healing powers that can be used for self-treatment as well as for treating others.

Introduction

In this day and age when everything around us seems to be changing so rapidly, it is difficult to not get caught up in the rhythm of our immediate environment thus feeling pressured and stressed by our daily responsibilities. The question arises, “How does one do to come to terms with our inner turmoils and stress of daily life?”

If you have never heard of Reiki perhaps this article will give you a means to approach daily life in a very special way. A very profound way to the health of your well being.

Reiki is a Japanese form of spiritual practice used for stress reduction and relaxation. It is a technique that helps promote healing either for oneself or for other people. It can be characterized as a practice of “laying of hands”.

The healing powers of the Reiki are based on the idea that there is “life force energy” that flows from within each person. This life force is said to be the reason why people are alive. When one’s life force energy is low, then one is likely to get sick or feel weak. If the life force is high, one feels healthy and happy.

It is through the practice of Reiki that one will be able to tap into to the healing energy powers that we human beings possess. Of course this this power is known as Reiki.

Even if you didn’t agree that this is an excellent method for stress reduction, a Maui vacation is always a terrific excuse to get away, wouldn’t you agree?

If you have a hectic schedule like me (and I’m not alone on this one folks) you probably could use a nice break, especially with a Maui vacation!

I bet you’re nodding your head in agreement too if you’ve haven’t taken any time off to enjoy some kind of a vacation…even if it’s a few days off to get away from the rat race.

Personally, I do think that a vacation in Maui would be top of the list for stress management.

If you’re staying at one of the near by hotels, say in Lahaina, you could check out the local bar and restaurants and have a nice tropical Hawaiian beverage of local popular choice.

That would kick off your Maui vacation, don’t think?….Imagine, sitting on an open deck, enjoying the day winding down, watching a beautiful Hawaiian sunset with your significant other?

Romantic, eh brah?

What I love about the islands and Maui in particular is the weather and warm water. Maui has such a variety of weather but along the coast and beaches it’s perfect.

I would take a lesson in kite surfing. I know how to board surf and that’s really cool but the idea of being pulled by mother natures’ wind power would be awesome. Are you a water person who enjoys a free ride?

Speaking of mother nature I bet hiking through Maui’s forest parks for birdwatching would be a terrific activity to put your stress management into overdrive.

I am sure there are some beautiful Hawaiian exotic birds that you can observe;) …..Just watching birds in their natural habitat is fascinating even if just for a few short hours.

Wow, isn’t it great to just let your mind go. You know, just writing this article is a great stress management activity…I wonder where else can I venture off to….
