Excellence In Workmanship And Materials Shows In Josef Seibel Sandals

July 3rd, 2009

Josef Seibel footwear began in 1886 in a small German town in which shoes were produced by hand and carried with them the excellent workmanship and attention that customers could feel every “step” of the way. One thing the Josef Seibel footwear brand has maintained over the last one hundred plus years is the quality of workmanship, materials, and style. Each and every pair of Josef Seibel sandals, shoes and boots are treasured for good reason.

More people than ever are discovering the almost magical way that their leg and foot pain, fatigue, and bad blood circulation seem to subside until they are practically gone. This is a phenomenon that new customers notice after wearing Josef Seibel shoes for weeks, even years. The secret is in the craftsmanship of the inside foot-beds of each shoe and the way they massage the bottom of your feet. The sandals generate a unique feeling that actually increases blood circulation to the feet AND body with each step, with the very design being keen to the makeup of the foot is unmistakable as being footwear that is much more than just fashionable!

People who happen across a pair of these shoes are hooked right away and usually seek out the next great style this company puts out while maintaining ownership of their other pairs. Josef Seibel sandals are built to enjoy but also built to last many years! When something makes you feel better, gives your body support with such comfort, people tend to remember, don’t you think? This is a shoe brand people don’t quickly replace. They tend to want to take them to the local shoe repair shop, since shoes this personal deserve every shot at continuing to provide you comfort.

Shoes have been around practically since man took his first steps on the streets of life. Although shoes have come a long way since the first pair, the concept of fashion has always been there. Shoes need to accomplish three very important factors to become useful, and the Josef Seibel shoes carry their weight well in all of these areas.

* They must be fashionable
* They must be comfortable
* They must be safe.

Shoes have taken on a technological aspect over years since man became civilized, and more has been discovered about how important it is for a shoe to absorb the shock of the ground and the abuse we put our feet through. They say the best shoes are those you don’t know your wearing because they are just that comfortable and this is true. This is what it means to wear Josef Seibel shoes.

If you ask them, most people wouldn’t even realize all the things a shoe does for them to protect them from the elements of the modern world, but that’s understandable, because that’s what we buy shoes for, amongst other things. Aside from their utilitarian uses, one of our biggest concerns when it comes to shoes is style, beauty, and their ability to make us feel better in some way. A shoe that can protect us, give us comfort unsurpassed, and still look very stylish, is more than just footwear, it’s comfortable footwear. The tradition lives on and has been copied by many, but Josef Seibel began the tradition!

Visit London For Shopping and Landmarks

July 2nd, 2009

The capital city of England is London, which is as famous for its shopping as it is for its history and culture. Tens of thousands travel from all around the globe to experience the incredible stores and markets.

Covent Garden has become known for its unusual and specialist shops, and has become a very hip place to be seen. There are a number of excellent restaurants in Covent Garden not just excellent shops. Until 1980 the Covent Garden market had many stalls selling flowers, vegetables and fruit its roots can be traced to the middle ages.

Camden Market is now one of the most popular places to visit in London. There has been a markets here in Camden for a long time, but in its present status only since 1974. The market is actually a number of adjoining markets selling wares of most things one can imagine.

The Kings Road is known as Chelsea’s high street, and one of the most chic and stylish streets to shop in London. Back in the 1970s the Kings Road was closely associated with ‘Punks’, who proved to be an attraction in London themselves. However, the Kings Road is more subdued these days and no longer just a haunt of the followers of the anti-fashion era.

Sloane Street is a street in London which runs north to south, and takes its name from Sir Hans Sloane, who purchased the surrounding area in 1712. Sloane Street has has, for a long time, been a fashionable shopping district, but is probably just as well known for lending it name to the ‘Sloane Rangers’ in the 1990s. The name Sloane Ranger was applied to the stereotypical young upper class English ladies seen in the area during this time. (One famous woman often referred to as a Sloane Ranger was Lady Diana Spencer)

Harrods department store in Knightsbridge is the worlds largest department store standing on 18,000 m2. The Harrods motto is ‘Omnia Omnibus Ubique’  meaning all things for all people, everywhere’. A very exclusive and luxurious department store, Harrods is famous the world over for its food hall and its toy department.

Another famous London department store is Selfridges in Oxford Street. In 1909 and american businessman called Gordon Selfridge opened the doors of his London shop to the public which is simply known as “Selfridges”. When it opened Selfridges set new standards for the retailing business. The reason being that each of the floors were designed so that the shopper was able to access the goods on sale more easily.

The shops in London offer as much diversity as its culture and no matter how bizarre ones shopping requirements, it can be found in London. Whether you like to shop in department stores or prefer to rummage through the markets, London has it all.

If you are planning a shopping trip to London you will find plently of cheap London hotels listed at www.londonhotelhelper.com

Pitching Mechanics Outrank Strength For Speed and Control

July 1st, 2009

Football is a contact sport, so it makes sense for players to want to bulk up with plenty of muscle and weight to fly across the field making tackles. Baseball, on the other hand, is not a physical sport. While physical skills are certainly required by the game, brute strength isn’t one of them - most especially if you’re a pitcher (who isn’t expected to be the world’s best hitter or runner). Why, then, do too many baseball pitchers train for strength when they should be working on their pitching techniques?

Which physical skill is more important: strength or speed? When it comes to pitching a baseball, speed wins. No, strength training is not required to gain speed, either. First, the mind has to understand pitching mechanics, then the body has to practice them - so that executing proper position and form is as natural as slipping a hand into a batting glove. Since the body and not the arm controls speed, once a player learns the proper body mechanics, everything else falls right into place.

What are some things to think about that will encourage a pitcher to gain velocity through pitching mechanics instead of attempting to increase strength? Don’t do weight training, throw heavy balls, or focus on the long toss. Remember, this will only make the arm stronger, not increase speed. In fact, these are sure ways to simply increase chance of injury, so it is doubly important to avoid them. Neither are drills or other excessively repetitive exercises helpful.

Should the pitcher, then, instead do the complete opposite and simply practice by playing “catch” or doing anything less than game intensity pitching? Definitely not.  Just because the pitcher should be concentrating on training his whole body to use proper pitching mechanics - instead of focusing on his arm through tunnel vision - doesn’t mean his practice on the whole should be any less intense.

Keep the body under control by eliminating unnecessary and speed-decreasing movements. Don’t rotate your trunk or hips. Don’t step to the side before lifting your leg or lift your leg too high. Do have a longer stride, however, to put you closer to the plate and improve your overall control. While position is important, don’t obsess over “staying tall”, as this can actually shorten your stride. Don’t forget: In baseball, speed outranks strength, and speed is gained not through strength and pitching drills, but through mechanics. With good mechanics, a pitcher will simultaneously acquire both faster speed and better control.

Simple Ways To Make Sparkling Water

July 1st, 2009

Carbonated water, also known as sparkling water, and seltzer, is plain water into which carbon dioxide gas has been dissolved, and is the major and defining component of most “soft drinks”. The process of dissolving carbon dioxide gas is called carbonation. It results in the formation of carbonic acid (which has the chemical formula H2CO3).

In the past, soda water, also known as club soda, was produced in the home by “charging” a refillable seltzer bottle by filling it with water and then adding carbon dioxide. Club soda may be identical to plain carbonated water or it may contain a small amount of table salt, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium sulfate, or disodium phosphate, depending on the bottler. These additives are included to emulate the slightly salty taste of homemade soda water. The process can also occur naturally to produce carbonated mineral water, such as in Mihalkovo in the Bulgarian Rhodopes.

Put a Fizzies drink tablet in an ordinary glass of water and observe the frenzy of bubbles. Better-tasting and better for you than the ones we had in the 1950s and ’60s, they provide 100% of the vitamin C kids need for a day as well as potassium and electrolytes. Choose three different flavors or three of the same. 8 tablets per package. Sweetened with Sucralose.  A large assortment of calorie free flavors to flavor sparkling water to great taste is sold at http://allfreightfree.com.

FDA is publishing regulations on bottled water that will promote honesty and fair dealing in the marketplace by providing standard definitions for the terms “artesian water,” “ground water,” “mineral water,” “purified water,” “sparkling bottled water,” “spring water,” “sterile water” and “well water.” They also bring mineral water under existing quality standards for
water filled in bottle.

Bottled water, like all other foods regulated by FDA, must be processed, packaged, shipped and stored in a safe and sanitary manner and be truthfully and accurately labeled. Bottled water products must also meet specific FDA quality standards for contaminants. These are set in response to requirements that the Environmental Protection Agency has established for tap water.

The new regulation sets standard definitions for different types of water filled in bottles, helping to resolve possible confusion about what terms like “spring” and “ground” water really mean.

For example, “spring water” is now defined as water collected as it flows naturally to the surface, or when pumped through a bore hole from the spring source. Water that comes from the bore hole must be the same as that which comes from the spring’s natural orifice. The regulation allows labeling to describe how the water came to the surface, for example, “naturally flowed to the surface, not extracted.”

The regulation also requires mineral water to meet the bottled water quality standards. It must come from a protected underground source and contain at least 250 parts per million in
total dissolved solids. Mineral water had previously been exempt from standards that apply to other bottled water.

Besides defining several terms, the regulation addresses various other labeling concerns. For example, water bottled from municipal water supplies must be clearly labeled as such, unless it is processed sufficiently to be labeled as “distilled” or “purified” water.

The regulation also requires accurate labeling of bottled waters marketed for infants. If a product is labeled “sterile” it must be processed to meet FDA’s requirements for commercial sterility. Otherwise, the labeling must indicate that it is not sterile and should be used in preparation of infant formula only as directed by a physician or according to infant formula preparation instructions.

Like all foods, beverages must also be safe and truthfully labeled. However, if the water ingredient is highlighted in any way, that water must meet water filled in bottle standards.

A proposal on this subject was published on Jan. 5, 1993. The comment period was extended twice — once to allow a trade group to conduct a survey on the meaning of “spring water” and later to allow comment on two surveys that were submitted to FDA.

FDA received more than 430 comments, most of which were supportive of the proposal.
The rule becomes effective six months after being published in the Federal Register.

Here’s A Quick Look At Double Your Dating

June 30th, 2009

For the men reading, and who have heard of this ebook, Double Your Dating, here’s a short review of the contents of the book that I found interesting so you can decide if it’s worth your time and effort!

David DeAngelo’s book covers a lot of topics, but the ones I found most interesting were:

  • being yourself
  • differences between the sexes
  • dispelling myths and misconceptions

Should you just being yourself?

Being yourself is not what is important, instead the author teaches men that they need to be the best self. A lot of guys who are just “being themselves” failt at getting girls, so it is critical that these guys discover the secrets on how to be attractive to the opposite sex. So guys need to stop acting like themselves, at least for a while, till they figure out how to get girls, then make that become the new part of themselves!

What are the distinctions in relation to the gender roles between the sexes?

In the Double Your Dating book, the reader is told that men are totally confused by society and that men and women differ in terms of gender roles. The media has brainwashed a lot of men in our society. In order to get women, some guys just think they need to be nice guys or something. That is the point where things start to go wrong and problems begin. Women like men who act like men. However, since a lot of men are confused, they don’t know what to do and start acting like women. This is the reason why a lot of men fail at getting women, because they keep acting like women themselves!

Misconceptions dispelled

Society has given the impression to men that in order to get women they need to be either, tall, handsome, rich or powerful. Clearly is not the case at all. It is very important to have these aspects as part of your personality, because it shows to women that a guy with these things is social respected and has high social standing. To have a high social status, you don’t need to look like you have all the material items that money could buy. David teaches you how to get these qualities as part of your personality so you are able to get women without being a rockstar!

My conclusion

This was just a quick review of David DeAngelo’s book, Double Your Dating. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I have provided a full and comprehensive review of it here: David DeAngelo Double Your Dating
